Purpose Of Unit Standard

This Unit Standard requires learners to be able to perform safety, health and Environmental representation activities and to know health and safety legislation relevant to the functions, duties and responsibilities of a Health and Safety Representative at a working place.
 

Learners credited with this Unit Standard are capable of demonstrating and understanding the following:

  • Eye injuries/unconsciousness/chocking/burns/amputations/CRP/bleeding/wounds/shock/head and spinal injuries/fractures/first aid box content/bandages and dressings/movement of patient/environmental illness
Outcomes
  • Be able to explain verbally what to do at an accident scene.
  • Demonstrate successfully how to conduct CRP on a patient.
  • Theory test is written related to the above topics taught.
Assessment & Certification

Summative assessment and is conducted by Ikaheng
The certificate will be valid for 3 years

Value-Add

All learners will receive free latex gloves and a mouth piece
